I read what I wrote & the rest of them appreciated it but didn’t understand it & maybe neither did I. Life felt like singing & droning in that old room with that goliath air conditioner. Something about life & love & the uniqueness of small things. She might not have fully understood either but she got it & felt. As she rose to leave she coolly scolded me for not sending her the writings I said I would. I told her I would again. That I’d been thinking about it, thinking about her. We walked out together & went our separate ways & the night reminded me of _________ & was crisp & blue with sparks.
